LIQUIDCHECK S4000

ON LINE APPLICATION

SlurryScan LiquidCheck S4000 is the latest edition to the Branscan instrument range, and offers manufacturers of slurry based products the ability to monitor quality ON-LINE.

LiquidCheck S4000 has high speed cameras and faster processing boards and a special lighting setup so the instrument is able to detect specks in slurry or gel products in an on-line environment. Instruments have already been successfully installed in a manufacturing plant to monitor a slurry product that is moving at speeds greater than two and a half meters per second.

FULLY AUTOMATIC

The LiquidCheck S4000 is a fully automatic instrument. Once started up to thirty images can be processed per minute, which means any change in the product specification can be detected within a very short space of time. Traditionally, product is monitored by taking samples
at set intervals, then processing them in a laboratory to gain a filter grade or number. However with LiquidCheck S4000 a correlation can be created in a very short space of time to give operators in the control room the same information with the results displayed constantly and updated every few seconds.

A live (left) and processed image showing what the LiquidCheck S4000 detects. Some of the specks
in the live image have been circled in orange.

The images above are taken from a LiquidCheck S4000. As you can see from the live image, the specks can be difficult to see with the naked eye. LiquidCheck S4000 has no problem identifying the specks, as proven in the processed image. LiquidCheck S4000 not only gives a filter or grade number, but also gives the operator information about the number of specks over a pre configured size found within the area scanned as well as the percentage coverage of the dark specks within the sample.
